Kierra Coles was three months pregnant at the time she went missing on Oct 2, 2018. She worked for the postal office in Chicago went missing from her South Side Chicago home on Oct 2 2018 and still has not been found. In a neighbor’s surveillance video showed Coles in her U.S. Postal Service uniform, heading to work on 10/2/18. She passed her car went across the street and then disappeared out of the frame.
Karen Phillips Kierra’s mother
Karen Phillips Kierra’s mother said she felt something was wrong and had been calling her all day Wednesday of 10/3/2018 but it would go straight to her voicemail. In addition, her mother said something does not feel right so she went over to Kierra’s house to call the police, so that the police could perform a well-being check because she had saw her car. She stated that okay Kierra is probably asleep but the mom didn’t know because something just did not feel right. Karen did say the Chicago police department has been conducting an investigation along with the postal inspector and have been putting together facts and with bits and pieces.
Boyfriend Not a Suspect or Person Of Interest
Keirras’ mother did not think the boyfriend is involved. “Her sister, Kesshia Phillips said that he was in the studio at the time and they are not singling anybody out. Kierra’s family understand he will be a suspect or a person of interest but does not condone putting his mother or kids out there for media abuse. US Postal Inspection service is offering $28,00 for information about Coles and her disappearance. Since Oct 2 the reward has been raised to over $46,000.
We Need The Media To Get Involved
There has not been enough media attention on our missing Black women and men in the US. We have so many media sources and outlets that it is very sad to say that the black community of missing people does not get the same type of media sensation as other races.
I wanted to do this post to help get Kierra as much media attention as possible. Our prayers and thoughts are with Kierra and her family. We all hope she is found safely.
